Bob has a B.A. (English) from the University of British Columbia and has been an independent insurance adjuster since 1979. He is the sole owner and principal of Scott & Associates and holds an Adjuster Nominee Level 3 licence with the Insurance Council of BC. He completed the FCIP program in 1990, opened his first adjusting business in Vancouver that year and in 1995 he and his family moved to Courtenay and have been active in the community since that time. He is a Past President of the BC Insurance Adjusters Association, he has taught night classes for the Insurance Institute of Canada, he has presented seminars to numerous insurance-related groups and associations and he is currently a non-voting member of the Insurance Council of BC.
Bob handles all levels of property and casualty claims, with particular expertise in large property losses, casualty claims, environmental losses, professional Errors & Omissions claims and defence preparation. His strengths include his thorough and detailed investigations, his compassion in dealing respectfully with people having suffered traumatic losses, the quality of his reports, his innovative approach to difficult situations and his overall experience as an independent adjuster.
